Mathematical Modelling and Simulation

Computer simulation and mathematical modelling is an integral part of an efficient development process. With this tools virtual test series can be performed, design concepts can be evaluated and optimal design parameters can be determined prior to any measurements on a prototype of the system. This shortens the development times and therefore reduces costs.

A tight linkage between mathematical modelling and practical aspects, such as the chosen materials and manufacturing techniques, is a key prerequisite for successful developments that are accepted by the market.

Efficient product development through simulation and mathematical modelling

A portfolio of different advanced Simulation Tools is at IMM's disposal, which facilitate predictive simulations in the framework of process engineering, bio-analytics and general microtechnological contexts (Case Studies & Research Projects). Moreover, experimental studies are supported by statistical software tools and strategies for design of experiments (DOE). Depending on the focus of the analysis different simulation approaches are combined in order to increase the robustness and reliability of modelling approaches and results.

Our team 'Mathematical Modelling and Simulation' supports in the development of microtechnological systems. We are eager to share our expertise in simulation and mathematical modelling with partners in the framework of contract research, consulting or alternative kinds of bilateral cooperation.
